Fried chicken is oh so popular in Korea, so much so that you can find restaurants and takeout places in every district. But of course there are those that are better than others. BBQ Chicken is one that is rated as one of the top fried chicken places. This particular outlet situated off the main Hongdae district is a small place that caters to takeouts and delivery orders. (And to BTS fans, yes, this is the fried chicken endorsed by BTS.)
Personal recommended item:
Golden olive (half half) / 황금올리브 (반반) - Half olive fried chicken, half spicy fried chicken (the spicy sauce is called yangnyeom / 양념)
Cost:
Approximately ₩18,000 to ₩20,000 for one chicken.
Directions:
Take exit 4 at Hongik University station (Line 2). When facing the main road, turn right and walk along the street. Cross the street at the first traffic light you see, and then cross the smaller crossing in front of you. Turn right and walk along the row of shops and you'll see the shop on your left.
If you are looking for a dine-in outlet, there is one right outside Hapjeong station (Line 2) exit 3. (Warning: There might be a long queue if you are going during regular lunch/dinner hours as this outlet is owned by Infinite Sungyeol's mother.
